Game updates stuck at 100% for several minutes

I have recently got back into gaming and as a result installed quite a few steam games. I notice on some games updates come through and many of them get stuck at 100% for a few minutes. Even if the downloaded update is relatively small. For example tonight a game called fire pro wrestling got a 100 megabyte update. Downloaded nice and fast but then spent about 2 or 3 minutes on 100%. This on a fast skylake powered pc. I just find it strange that a few of these updates do this. Especially when the initial installs did not do this, when they reached 100% they didn't seem to linger on it for long

Done it again this morning. Update for 'we happy few'. It's only 250 megabytes in size approx. Yet it gets to 100% fast only to linger at 100 for a good couple of minutes

more common for it to happen with updates then the initial install, since it has to decrypt and unpack the new files while also decompiling the old files to replace the new files with

Make sure you have all device drivers fully up to date for your system. Visit the manufacturer's official website and check there for newly released drivers, especially if you have Windows 10.

No idea if you looked at the downloads page in your client. A while ago they added a graph for the hard drive to the pure download thingy. There, you can see that the disk works for quite a while after there's no more network traffic.

FFS 2017 post, either your anti-virus app block it, or you pc is so slow with scan and unpacking that it cant keep up, dont play game and do double write task on harddisk with pc or even have DL limit . all this is seen as user own faulth,

steam policy is a joke.a 5 years post still allowed to get post
½ of the block was not even there 5 years ago, so post is outdate and dont fit timeline in what ppl have issue with now.

Some dont get it, Security app have change in the timeline , and interferece issue with steam.

This is fact, Security is user own respoisbility it aient a company problem what you block or dont, and not our problem they stop tell what the block either.
