Adding Games Purchased Elsewhere to Steam
Hi! I was wondering if there was a way to add a game that I purchased elsewhere (Don't Starve and Don't Starve Together) on to Steam. I can't seem to find anything online that isn't "Add a Non-Steam Game" and it's becoming rather frustrating. Can anyone help me out here? Thanks!

If any keys for the games are not activable on Steam, no.

If you were given a game key with the game, you can redeem it on Steam. That kind of key is the only way to add it to your Steam account.

If you do not have one of these, then you already found your only other option, which is to add a non-steam game.

Wow that was fast! I forgot to note that in the bin folder all of the Steam files are there (steam.dll, steamclient.dll, etc.). Is there anywhere in the files of the game that I can possibly find the key?

How did you acquire the game?

Well, I'm not really sure. My brother found it for me on a website called gamestorrent.com (not the actuall address)

Nobody will be able to help you with your illegally pirated game. You should buy the game legitimately instead of stealing it.

Then it sounds like it was downloaded as a torrent. There is no way to get it on Steam then.
