Steam profile picture is blank in some places.
My profile picture is only blank in-game and the box beside "view friends list". Everywhere else the picture shows up, even on google chrome. I don't have any viruses or anything. This only seems to happen with photos that i make as well. Pictures from the internet work perfectly fine. And it isn't only blank from my p.o.v., I asked others in-game if they saw what i saw and they agreed. Is there a solution for this?

Your avatar seems to be no different from any other avatar (besides what it shows), so everything is okay on Steam's side.

Since when are you experiencing this problem? And on what game are you experiencing this?
Might want to contact the developers of the game.

Well i only play CSGO but its been happening for like a couple weeks.

Try this:
  1. Right click on CS:GO on your library,
  2. click on properties,
  3. click on the tab local files at the top,
  4. click on the button that says "Verify integrity of game files"

If that doesn't work you could try reuploading your avatar. But before you upload your avatar, resize it to a resolution of 184x184.
This is what Steam usually does for you but maybe they store the original picture somewhere, and the API that CSGO uses tries to take that picture. I am not certain it works this way but it's worth a try.

But like I said, I doubt it's a problem on Steam's side. Maybe you'll have better luck posting on the CSGO forums:

I am currently having the same problem, did you by any chance find a solution to this problem?

Sorry, I don't remember what I did to fix it because it was so long ago but I can try to help you. What games is this happening on?

Generally speaking, it's often due to as already posted here - the odd bit of file corruption and verifying the game cache (or general web browser cache and so on) can fix it. This can often happen if your internet is either a bit spotty or you've had some drop outs.

On top of this, Valve have been working on changing some back end stuff in recent weeks, so there have been points where things go a bit wonky, but it's usually been on things like these forums, rather than in games. But the point is sometimes it can be purely down to either your connection and/or anywhere along the connection between you and them.
