I redeemed a gift card but didn't get the money (Someone please help)

So, earlier today i redeemed a $50 gift card and then when I went to check my wallet there was still $0 and I thought it just still had to load so I waited about 5 hours and checked again, there still wasn't a change and it says the card has been used. (This is an online card someone bought me and I received it through email, they bought it on PayPal.) Can someone please help me out with my problem. Thank you.

This is what steam did to me. I bought 80$ dollars only 2 worked the others were not legible. Christel from steam support said she add the funds to my steam wallet. I was happy only to see no funds. I sent them another message and they stated that it has been redeemed and nothing more they can do. I’m starting to regret buying a steam deck. To many issues with purchasing games, when I tried to buy a steam deck I was refunded and blocked until 2038. Had to make another account. I just want to play. Smh I honestly rather trade my OLED for switch now cause this has been ridiculous and a waste of money. If I would have know this about steam i would never have purchased a deck rather stick to my PC Can’t use my bank account I have to opt for gift cards only to lose money.
