What stops you from just listing it on the market for the going rate, and him buying it on the market for the going rate? You're still paying the 15% market fees but that's how the market works.
Hell, you could just list it for 1 cent less than the lowest sell listing and at the same time your buddy puts in a buy order for the same price. I mean that would work but I'm assuming if just "you sell the item on the market and he buys the same thing from the market" were an option you wanted to consider you'd not be asking here.
