How do i activate a Steam Key through the Web Browser?
Whenever i go to activate a code through Steam Client my entire steam freezes every second and i am unable to even copy paste the code, i wanted to know if i can activate the keys in the web because from the client its impossible

Edit: Just to clarify, the problem with the Steam client freezing was caused because of my Friend Box, when i open the friend box all steam together with it freeze for some reason

This is why people loose their account! >_<
He dosen't have to use it id he dosen't want to, it was just an idea since he can't activate on the steam client without crashing and the browser dosen't have it. Don't throw out assumptions with out proff. If he wants a 100% safe way I know that he can use ASF and add his accounts to it then activate keys then log in the steam client and install games and then play.

I'll bump this thread as it shows up on top when googling this topic.
An option to redeem a Steam key in the browser has been added a few hours ago: https://store.steampowered.com/account/registerkey

Very good! You know how to reach the page from the browser home page? I can't see any link

It's a very fresh feature and I don't think it's possible to do that yet. It will probably be added some time in the near-ish future

Curious what the purpose of activating a key through the web when you can neither download, nor play the game through the web anyway.

You don't have to be near your gaming PC.

You can remote download via mobile.

Ah I never used that feature. So theoretically you could activate the key at work, download the game, and it would be ready when you got home?

Yes. I do that on my phone all the time!
