PAYPAL SCAM? AM I COVERED BY STEAM ???
i have a h1z1 kotk item i want to trade, and someone has offered to buy it via paypal for £56.. but he want's me to send him the item first... but i don't trust this type of deal, he has over 100 reps, and 1700 trades, but i find something weird as he keeps telling me to send the item to him quickly,, and he keeps saying i can jsut screenshot the chat and steam will give me my item back anyway... ect ect, but does steam cover me with this type of deal? as i've technically gave him the item,,.. here's he's profile / i don't know what to do... if he send the money can he get it back ?

Nope. If items are not completed over a single trade, you should not complete it.

It's a pretty basic scam.

The fact alone that you believe that +rep is something to rely on tells us you are a gullible fool just waiting to be scammed.

If it doesn't fit into a single trade window, just don't do it. No going first, no trade for promises, no trade for money.

Yup u gift the items. Is easy to understand.

Just block and report him.

This did never and will never work out.
Screenshots are easy to modify.

Offers like this should bring all of your red alarm bells to ring... otherwise you will be sorry afterwards.

And you trust that? If you do you're gonna be scammed eventually.
Never trust this type of trade as all trades are supposed to be done in the window at once. On a side note "REP" is complete worthless and is a user made up system and has nothing to do with steam, it is used by scammers to seem legit on trades. On another side note trade #s dosen't mean he's legit ether as you can have multiple accounts and trade back and forth to get higher trade numbers. And he is lieing about steam would give back your items, once you trade them they are gone scam or not as you would have agreed on giving "the items as a gift".

Report and block this <person> from their profile as attempted scammer.
And there is no naming and shamming even if <this user> is a scammer, so delete his account link.

I swear, people get more gullible every day.

Of course it is a scam... if you can't see that, you should probably stop trading all together.

And besides, what you are wanting to do there goes against the trade guidelines. You can not trade to PP funds and expect Valve to cover your mistakes.
