Missing "invite to game" option when I Alt+tab in every single game I own on Steam
So it seems just i have lost the option to invite friends to games that are designed to be multiplayer games.... i.e. garry's mod, or any other game that you have to alt + tab to invite friends. I used to have this option but it seems that i cant find this option anywhere in Steam. Others can invite me, but even then it is about a 25% chance that i can join their game. Is steam screwed up or did i do something to mess it up. I just want to play with friends and steam is ruining my day. (I have sent a steam support ticket, but it has been about 2 weeks and I havent heard anything from them in response).

Current steam version was built Dec 19 2016 @ 18:21:07. Steam API v017. Steam package version is :1482202200

Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

Is it possible you are running some software or game in the same time you run the main game?
If Steam detects one they may think you playing that and there for enable or disable the abilty if that game supports it

Also did you try to refresh Steam files to see if that fix it?

no this happens no matter what. and i have also done a fresh install of steam just to be sure.

It doesn't show up through the Shift+Tab overlay? Not sure why alt+tabbing would behave differently, but it's something to try.

No the option is missing when I shift-tab in any game I own.

this had just started on mine, im trying to invite my friend however it doesn't say "invite to game"
the hell is going on?

New privacy settings. Change them from your profile (Edit Profile, My Privacy Settings).

Same happens, when you and your friend just on DIFFERENT SERVERS. WTF?
