Xbox one wireless controller + wireless ap (XBOX ACC) + windows 7 (WORKS!)
XBOX ONE PAD works WIRELESS in WINDOWS 7.

Hi,

Recently i bought a xbox one controller for my pc.
Plus a bluetooth ap/wireless adapter (XBOX ACC) because it was needed for running wireless in windows.

SYMPHTOMS:
I got a bad surprise when after installing the drivers for the wireless ap, the xbox one controller didn't work on my games.
I mean that the ap and the controller were linked correctly, because i was seeing the controller buttons bars changing when i was touching the buttons (all of it wireless).
But when i entered in my games, the pad didin't worked.
I have others xbox 360 controllers (xbox 360 is not he same that xbox one) for my pc and when i connect that controllers, they apperar in the devices and printers window, however, with the xbox one controller, it didn't appear.

ACLARATIONS:
First. This is for install the xbox ONE controller WIRELESS in WINDOWS 7
(after install it, it works with AND WITHOUT WIRE, don't worry)
(i don't have installed the sound xbox one connection ¿ok? probably it's not possible with this method)
Second:
If you try to find some information in microsoft, you probably find how to install it in windows 10, or install a xbox 360 controller, or install a xbox one controller with wire. All crap!
Not provide drivers for your buyers for windows 7 for wireless is regrettable...

INSTALLING:
***This need to be clear, we've to make a difference between wireless controller drivers and the wireless adapter drivers. You need to make work the two of them***

Now we go to the procedure.
First install the XBOX ACC. For this you can obtain drivers following this guide from another steam fellow: https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/1/490123938430246727/

Second and the most important:
Connect the xbox one controller directly with a USB cord to the computer, the system should detect it and install it automatically.
We're going to use this detection to go to the device drivers properties and update the drivers with a "XBOX 360 CONTROLLER". This is the crucial point.
Update and if the system say to you that you have the latest driver, uninstall and install again, using the microsfot provided drivers in windows 7, searching manually, in device manager, using "xbox 360 wireless controller via play & charge kit"

** note: i'm new posting, if somebody say to me one easy method (and steam accepted) to post images i would post some of them for clarity.***

** REMEMBER: not neccesary remove batteries when usb connected, and of course, necessary when wireless :D

After having installed the wireless adapter and our "xbox360 controller" :) only unplug the usb cord, turn on both of them, make the pairing and verify that in your XBOX ACC, right click, game controller setting, you have a "Controller (xbox one for windows) status-->OK)" Make sure, in advanced you select "Controller (xbox one for windows)" and in properties check the buttons that shoul work all of them.

If all of it is installed, you should be able to of play the games wireless, you not see the pad icon in devices and printers, but you can use it anyway.

I hope that it work for you and enjoy this fantastic and elegant pad.

Games tested until now: how to survive 2, farcry 3,

DISCLAIMER: i'm only a user that tried hard to make it works, if you lose your drivers, something explode or you pad stop of working it's no may fault. I play with my xbox one controller wireless without problems. If you're very happy because it works perfectly you can gimme a gift too :P

Check windows update for additional updates. You should see Microsoft - Generic Controller - Xbox Controller. Instal it.
For me I got problem with xinput driver when connected wirelesly.
I solved it by instaling xinput driver from package on this site.
https://www.unkind-brotherhood.com/p/downloads.html

In device manager in input devices you I saw xhid haming device showing error or hid device (when I deleted xinput driver). I have checked HW ID to be sure that it is Xbox wireless controler and then i manualy update driver from file.

Hw ID: HID\VID_045E&PID_02FF&IG_00

I have tried to use this packeg alone but i have to combine win update + xinput to make it work.
