Banned for "Bumping multiple month old threads"?
May someone please expain to me what does "Bumping" mean? Because I have asked a question on 2 separate threads( 1 question on each thread totaling to 2) on the Paladins discussion page and have gotten a 1 day ban as a result.

On one of the threads I've noticed that a modder has left a reply so I, thinking that the modderator knew the answer to my question and that they would answer me, quoted and replied to that as a way of asking my question. A few minutes later I got a ban.

I've googled and checked that it meant "Bring up my post" but I still dont understand what does that mean.

Input is appreciated

Bumping is where you reply to a post for the sole purpose of getting it back to the top of the posts again.

If you have the option of responding to the mod that banned you, explain (politely, of course!) your intent wasn't to *bump* the thread but to find an answer … and next time you'll frame your question more clearly instead of just re-quoting someone else.

I asked them on their profile as a comment. Not neccesarily politely nor was it inpolite just straight up ask them "what does bumping mean?". They deleted my comment and no reply :(

BUT THANKS ALL FOR THE ANSWERS!

You need to reply to the ban message it's self, not on someone's profile.

I'm not surprised by this tbh. I installed Paladins after a friend on Steam recommended it a couple of months ago. Then I looked around on their forum to see if anyone had issues with the permanently running Windows service that must be installed with the game. I observed the... sensitive... moderation style and promptly uninstalled without even playing it.

The problem with addictive multiplayer games is you tend to get involved in their forums long term. When mods behave like that you have to ask yourself if you really want to be part of such a community.

Come on now. I've had this game for like 4 days and have met some nice people. Surely most people are salty and such but thats the world for you so dont pinpoint it on Paladins specifically. The game is a ton of fun and I recommend you give it a try, unless youre certain of course.

I'm fine its just a 1 day ban after all. I was just curious why I got banned and, of course, I learn to not get banned again. Again thanks for the reply.
