My saves are gone?

Can someone please help me? I spent five days working on a map on Garry's Mod. I worked countless hours. And after every hour, I saved. Well, I finally check my saved spots and it tells me it has not a single save. Please help me, I will give credit to the best response in the description of the map.

Have you tried looking in C:\HammerAutosave?

The game's save/dupe directory (where it stores them) may have been changed with an update without updating the folder where the game searches for them.

Here are some steps to follow:

• Find where your steam folder is located.
  
• Go into steamapps
  
• Go to common
  
• Go to GarrysMod
  
• Go to garrysmod
  
• Go to saves
  
• Try to find your selected save
  
  
• ~If you found your save:
  
• Copy the JPG, and GMS files and save them to the desktop
  
• Delete the selected GMS, and JPG files from the folder
  
• Run GarrysMod, enter a random singleplayer map
  
• Close GarrysMod
  
• Drag in your JPG and GMS files from the desktop back into the folder.
  
• Run GarrysMod.
  
• Your save should be there.
  
  
• ~If you didn't find your save:
  
• Try checking the steam cloud save folder
  
• Or try to find your autosave in the garrysmod autosave folder
  
• If you cannot find the save you may have to remake the level :/

I can't find steam apps or my steam folder, I have searched through my entire library, thanks for the help anyways.

The steam folder should be in your C: drive in your computer

So, I opened up my C: drive ad it has not steam folder. I don't know if its something wrong with my computer.

The directory will not be located in C:. It will be located in C:\Program Files (x86) on 64bit Windows Systems.

or you can right click on garry's mod in your steam library go to properties -> select local files and -> click browse local files
