'Move Install Folder' feature not there?
i've been on a few forums and found that people are reporting a new feature when you right click on a game, proporties and then local files, there is an option under 'Verify integrity of game cache' called 'Move Install Folder'.

this is on the 'latest' version of steam, but already have the latest version and it's not there.

anyone got the option to do this??

Now this is a long needed feature if in fact it is true and working..

Sure beats moving the folder manually.. removing the game.. and then reinstalling/verify.

It's there for me too. Not participating in any betas. Pleasantly surprised, but long overdue.

The beta client went live yesterday

So the mainline client has this feature now

It's there. You'll find under the right click menu Properties setting for each game.

The feature isn't there for me either. I switched between beta and stable several times now and it won't show up.

Checked on several titles? I can imagine/speculate some games can't be moved.

Make sure you have a library folder to move stuff to. If you only have the one library folder I could see the option not being available.

Perhaps, after hearing about this.. that Valve should consider leaving the option there for ALL .. and when it is selected it should prompt to create a new storage area if there are no others.

Its more than a couple months down the line of this update now. I have the option move games, EXCEPT for one; FFXIV. I don't get the option like I do others (CSGO, RB6 Siege). Why is this?

CODWWII does not have move folder, I made mistake of uninstalling thinking install would allow me to point to new folder on new SSD I had copied game to. Added in Steam as a folder but still not showing. Now have to download 28gb again and it will still be on wrong drive.
Wish I had found SteamMover first :(

Nice necro..

As for your issue. I don't own CODWWII so can't comment ogn if the move folder is there or not. Though if you haven't deleted the files you can still do it without downloading 28gb.

Make sure the COD folder on your SSD is not linked to Steams Libraries. Rename it if you need to.

You'll need to solve the download to the drive you don't actually want to use.

Exit Steam > Copy Game files from your SSD to where Steam is currently installing it > Skip files when prompted > Load Steam > It should notice the files and be fine if not Verify the Game cache.

Game should now be installed. Try > Game Properties > Local Files > Move folder
make sure you have a Steam Library on you SSD. Add new library location to you SSD or make the one on your SSD default
Steam >Settings > Downloads > Steam Library Folders

If Move Folder is still not there unistall the game

With your Library defaulting to your SSD start the download. Let it run for a few minutes then exit Steam. Repeat steps done earlier copy Game files to where Steam is currently installing it > Skip files when prompted > Load Steam > It should notice the files and be fine if not Verify the Game cache.

Guys to be able to move games around youll need to create new library folder to the target drive first then only will the options appear. Further tutorial at the link provided https://www.howtogeek.com/269515/how-to-move-a-steam-game-to-another-drive-without-re-downloading-it/
