also I doubt it's a bug.. I think it's just Steam checking if there was no update to download or anything
wow. you should try before judging.
i think it has something to do with admin right/uac.
you can even create task scheduler using cmd prompt as an elevated shortcut but you will see cmd windows in short while. nircmd can hide these windows. im sure there are a lot of alternative like batch file but nircmd is just another tool and work fine for me.
Having this issue but I just found this ^
The same effect can be had without downloading anything by opening regedit and adding Steam to
HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
with the aforementioned -silent
But again, hiding the message that Steam thinks the installation needs fixing does not constitute a solution.
