Kotor II Super Lag Windows 10
So I've started Kotor II and for some reason when I go through this hallway after the security console on peraugus before fighting more droids, it lags so bad. It lags so bad that I can't move nor do I have control over anything. I've tried setting the affinity, and priority in the taskbar, tampering with the ini file, the v-sync, the grapic settings as well, and finally reinstalling. I just don't know what else to do now. Pls help :(

make sure you set V-sync to always on for kotor in your video card software too not just in game settings. turn off crossfire/SLI too if your using it.

What's your video card/chip?

Hi,
I have the exact problems as obsidandonut at the very exact situation inside the game.
My laptop has an Intel HD Graphic Chip 4000. I know its not much, but the game works just fine until that door. It even just appears when I look into a specific direction.
Does anybody got a solution to this?

Min requirement is HD 4400 (and that can have issues - this game doesn't get on too well with integrated graphics for a lot of people). Anything less than that and you are looking at the legacypc (original) version of the game.

I suppose the 4400 can theoretically run the game at minimum details and resolution?

As I understand it the devs of the updated game used something in writing the update available with HD 4400 that isn't available with earlier integrated graphics. Whether HD 4400 is adequate to run the game apart from that idk.

I have always bought computers with dedicated graphics cards for years. For serious games integrated graphics really isn't up to it in reality even if it is theoretically. I recently switched to a laptop (I know you have your own views on that :D ) because I needed to save space and laptops with decent spec graphics cards are now available at expensive rather than outrageous prices. Actually I noticed laptops with AMD chipsets including dedicated graphics cards adequate for this game were cheaper than machines of similar spec using Intel chipsets with integrated graphics. So very little excuse for not having proper graphics, unless you didn't get to choose your machine.

Try this:

Right click on the game in your steam library -> properties -> betas, change none to legacypc.

try at least a quad core @3ghz and a 1gb card to get mostly playble no stutter framerates. itll work on any OS that this game is
supported for.

You don't need 3ghz cpu, and dual core is enough. i3 or something. GPU should have at least 1gb, if you want to use high details with 1080p or better resolution.

I tried that and it was making my game run worse actually. Dunno if it's just me but just wanted to point that out in case anyone else had that issue

I have the same problem, in the same hallway. I can't believe that there is no solution.
