Purchased GTAV, wanted refund, denied on bundle. HAVENT EVEN DLd
Simply put, I was looking forward to playing it, and possibly transferring it onto console possibly as after reading the discussion thread it's loaded with cheats and hackers, but found out that we can no longer transfer our characters from systems as of earlier this month. I don't even really want to be refunded for the game itself, but the difference that this gta online card was.

BUT.... for some reason, a game I haven't even DOWNLOADED yet....I can't get my full refund. I'm kind of frustrated that Steam policy on bundles with dlc won't let me get a refund on something within an hour of purchase, that I haven't touched, nor have any way to use the dlc item it refuses to refund me for....

Calling out to steam here. I'm a loyal customer of SEVERAL years, with a decent inventory I've bought in my own right, not trading keys and other nonsense. I've even dropped straight up for BADGES ffs. A nod to a loyal customer here would go a long way on my end. I've never disputed a purchase before, but I can't see myself enjoying this purchase. Simple as that.

tl;dr. Bought a bundle with megalodon for gta online, learned its loaded with cheats and hackers reading discussion threads..... Want a refund. Steam won't give the refund but will gladly remove both and give me 30% of what I paid.....never having downloaded much less used anything within an hour of buying it.

My title summarizes pretty well I figure.... "Purchased GTAV, wanted refund, denied on bundle. HAVENT EVEN DLd"

ZERO HOURS It hasn't even been downloaded.

I bought the megadolon bundle. But they will not refund it. They will only refund the basegame. For something purchased within an hour. I said each post I HAVEN'T EVEN DOWNLOADED IT YET. That is my explanation.

Hoping for someone able to solve the problem, not people trying to rile me up.

Simply put. For when a moderator or staff is able to help, I bought the GTA V Megalodon pack, I have not even downloaded nor made any use of it whatsoever. However, when seeking a refund, it will only refund the base game, but it gladly purges the full purchase from my account, so I am refunded 30% of my amount paid, with nothing to show for it, because the shark card is "consumable" for a game never downloaded, and not used, within an hour of purchase.

I read the policy. I'm seeking out a refund however. One can figure the consumable item clause is meant to keep people actively playing a game from getting a refund on used items. I haven't even downloaded the game. No use of any items could have been done. I'm seeking help from a Valve staff on that basis.

This is just a user forum, there is no Valve staff here or anyone who has any power over refunds. You can't escalate a denied request to anyone.
NinjaPlease Mar 26, 2017 @ 9:51pm
Bundle policy and DLC policy can both apply here, and furthermore if a game has not been even downloaded, one would THINK it would be simple for Valve to grant it on that basis, as no use of product was possible.

Well someone actually giving me valid input rather than bickering over things not relavent to what I'm seeking help on. I'm aware of both policies. I read them both before posting in here. It seems people are too willing to talk people down on here.

Seemingly there is nowhere one can contact Valve then on a request. They simply will patently deny a refund request regardless....

If you don't qualify for that request, sure, it is expected to be told no.

If you qualify, then the refund is granted, explained in the link the good Nightenhelser gave previously.

You don't qualify because you bought consumable in-game currency with it. The online isn't as bad with cheaters as you think, regardless.

They have no way to know that you've not logged into a different computer with a non-Steam version of GTA5 and used the currency/had your fun. The only time Valve know about it is if you launch your copy that is tied to Steam.

If the bundle contains a consumable item like a shark card it is ineligible for a refund. Steam has no clue if you have used a consumable item or not.

how do i use it when its tied to my steam account? makes zero sense.

Bottom line: you didn't read the information that was given to you both on the store page and at checkout. The fault is yours.
