Oops, sorry? C'mon.

What is up with the Update News saying "Oops, sorry" when displaying all of the available sales on the Steam Store? I mean, c'mon. Someone's gotta be hiding something from us, right?

That is a good point, and quite possibly could be related to the issue.

I doubt it is if it's happening to a lot of people, especially over a week. I click view > Update news and I had that come up 22 out of 22 times.

While that's possible, it doesn't explain why it's only started within the last month. My internet connection hasn't changed much lately. In fact a couple of weeks ago I was on a really high speed connection for a few days, it was still throwing these errors up daily.

Just tried that, and yes 22 out of 22 came up as "Oops, sorry"

Something is acting up.

This has happened a few times for me as well. One out of each of the last/most recent Steam News updates i've seen when logging in has had 1 item only show with that *oops* message.
I am curious what exactly would cause that to happen.

I've been having this problem for months now. It seems to be getting worse. I've just started up steam to get a pop-up for 3 news items. All 3 of them are Oops. My internet is fine. Everything else works. The real problem is that the items will never refresh. If they stay in the update news for weeks, all I will ever get from now on is 'Oops'.

All 8 of my specials today are "Oops, sorry"... First time it's been all of them, usually it's one or two. I'm in the US with gigabit internet, so I doubt it's speed related.
