Opening Microsoft Store games in Steam client [MC5:Blackout]
Has anyone been sucessful at opening Microsoft Store games in the Steam client? I've been trying to get Modern Combat 5: Blackout to open in the Steam client because whenever I open the game regularly it never shuts down properly when I exit the game. Leaving it open in the background for the end of time until I have to force close it by going to task manager. There's also Steam's wonderful in-game screen capturing abilities - another reason I want to open it through the client.

I've setup a shortcut for it, but to no end it still won't launch even though I'm sure I have the parameters set correctly.

You can do it, but it requires a handful of semi-complicated commands as Windows Store apps are not Win32 like regular Windows software.

Heres's a good tutorial - https://www.reddit.com/r/pcgaming/comments/4n2ypm/add_windows_10_uwp_games_to_steam_tutorial/

Unfortunately, that's the tutorial I originally followed (before this post) and still can't get the game to launch. I'm not getting any errors when I go to launch it only that it has "failed to launch". In the xml file the app id isn't even named MC5. It's called WindowsEntryPoint.Windows.exe.

I wish gameloft would port MC 5 to windows 7. It is so difficult to play on mobile. There are a lot of people still using win 7. It isn't a bad idea. Since they have Mc: versus on steam which sucks.
