Severe Keyboard Lag; Completely Unplayable

I've been having issues with my laptop which I play steam on and very recently I've come across the most severe keyboard lag that is only occurring on steam games. The keyboard lag is several seconds long and never occurs outside of steam games. The mouse also works fine. I have tried to find a solution to this but there is nothing that I have found to fix this solution. I have tried using a USB keyboard, updating my driver etc.

The laptop is a lenovo 2013 Intel i3 that came with windows 8 but I upgraded it to 10.

Here is quite possibly the issue.

Post the exact model of this laptop. Or link it to us here from Lenovo. Either you maybe have not installed the drivers, or Windows 10 is not officially supported on that computer, quite possibly.

It's a Lenovo g500 series Model 20236.

Also I have tried updating and/or installing drivers and I installed Windows 10 back when it first came out. This problem began on Saturday.

It is as I suspected. If the computer you linked to me is the exact one you have, then there are no drivers in the drop menu there for Windows 10. The list stops at Windows 8.1

You can try each device manufacturer's website if you wish, and search for drivers that way...

OR

Roll back to an officially supported OS. My suggestion would be Windows 7 64 bit.
