Computer crashes (Debian GNU/Linux 8 jessie 64bit) after playing steam a while..

I will play any game on steam; and after 5-20 minutes, the computer completely and suddenly shuts off.

No programs runing other than steam. There doesn't seem to be any particular part or time within the game play that i've noticed, that results in the crash.
