Computer Not Booting, Yellow Light On Motherboard
Long story short, I bought a new GPU took PC to pieces and it won't fit on my micro ATX board. Then I rebuilt my PC and it won't boot and is showing a yellow light on the motherboard. The fans on the GPU and in the case are spinning at full power, faster and louder than I have ever seen them before, but my TV says "no signal through PC". Any suggestions. Thanks.

Just in case it matters later, please always post also if your OS is 32 or 64 bit.

EDIT..You said you rebuilt it, so is it possible you jarred loose one or more of the RAM sticks ? Reseat the RAM perhaps, if so.

I never removed the ram i just took out the HDDs and PCI and PCIe stuff. And it's Win 7 64bit

Check your PC's manual. Yellow probably indicates there is an issue.

Are you sure all those devices are seated properly then ?

Did you use antistatic protection ?

EDIT...Are you sure you have the HDD's plugged into the EXACT same SATA ports ?

If not, your BIOS settings will make the PC try to boot up from a different drive from where you OS is installed.

Ya know it might be because of static, but is that really a big problem I've never worried about it as I'm working with such inexpensive parts

My PCs manual, where could I find that

It should be available on the manufacturer's website or a 3rd party

What about my edit concerning the HDD's and SATA ports ? Why did you not reply to that, please ?

Yes, antistatic is still a possibility, even if only a remote one.

I could try swapping the HDDs. Also I looked up what the light means and it stands for a hardware malfunctioning or incorrectly installed. I'll try it tomorrow

No disrespect, but you don't seem to be answering my question exactly.

You cannot just "swap" them randomly. The BIOS setting chooses what drive your computer boots from where you OS is installed. If you changed the drives out, as you said above, and did not plug them into the same EXACT SATA ports they were plugged into before you unplugged them, that can be a problem.

Well I don't think I they are plugged into the same ones, but how big of a problem is that. Never even heard of it before

I just explained, twice in fact, why it would be a concern.

How many drives are we talking about here ? You have your OS on one drive and you have others, correct ? or no ?

The OS is on one and I have another, and I understand why it is a problem I'm just saying how much of a problem is it as it doesn't seem logical and I have never heard of it before
