Just so we are clear here. If you "installed" the wrong drivers, you can roll back to the previous ones or uninstall them and reboot. But they should have told you that they were the wrong ones, or the installation should have failed if trying to update to the wrong driver.
I don't have Windows 10, but in device manager, under properties for that device, you can "roll back" the driver and then install the right one to the latest version, or uninstall that driver and reboot.
Windows should then install a basic driver, but if it doesn't, you just then install the one for that device that you downloaded from Toshiba.
I suggest predownloading them to your desktop for example, so they are easy to get at.
And I dont see that you mentioned anything about the BIOS update I posted about. BIOS updates need to be handled with care, if you are not sure of what you are doing. But if you have Windows 10, it is usually a good idea to have the latest BIOS.
You can link this one for referrence, and be sure to post your computer info in the title also, I suggest that is.
It is not that hard to do really, but you need to be aware of the issues if something goes wrong, and how things can go wrong and what causes them.
I personally would wait on the BIOS update for now, and concentrate on getting ALL of the device drivers up to date, as well as Windows itself.
Then, check your power settings and be sure you have Windows set to maximum performance. What that other user said about your CPU is right. You need to check your BIOS settings though, as I don't recommend getting or using any third party software to do that. You don't need to.
All that can be done on the computer itself, either from Windows or the BIOS. So there is no need to use software from a third party source to do it.
What do you mean "the" driver ?
There are many device drivers that need to be installed/updated in a compuer, not just one as in "the".
Sadly, from my experience, Toshiba's website is not at all very user-friendly when it comes to finding them easily. You have to do much searching and list expanding, from what I remember.
In device manager, you see all the devices that are in your computer by expanding the entries there.
So, all those devices have drivers. And they need to be up to date also, especially as Windows 10 seems to be constantly updating/majorly changing.
I have seen many cases where the newest drivers on the maunfacturer's website were only days old. They probably released new drivers in those cases due to Windows 10 changing, for example.
