Was suddenly logged out of Steam?

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.
But yeah, basically I booted up my PC like usual and opened Steam, went to grab a drink, came back and I had been completely logged out and needed Steamguard to log me back in.
It's not a hassle or anything, but is this anything to be concerned about? I don't want anyone hacking into my account again (since the last time I've added every safety precaution possible). But hey, I'm just paranoid.

Do you use mobile auth or email Steam Guard?
Over all i think it just happens sometimes, maybe some file corupted
If you have any fear just change the password and i think you likely to be ok
Also you may want to look at account history, trading history, and market history to see if there is anything you did not do

But as said i think you be ok

it might have been due to an update - there was a large one this week. I hit the restart to update and had to log back in once. At least I hope that's all it was.

Just checked my account history and everything, it all seems in order. Password changed again haha. Thanks though guys, just wanted to check as I had so much trouble last time!

I just logged on and when I went to rightclick on the taskbar icon to click one of the 'Recent' games, it was showing me all the wrong games. And looking up those games in my library, it also said 'Last played today', even though it's been months or even years for some of them.

That, and the suddenly being logged out you describe.. it sounds a lot like that bug some time ago when people were inputting their account info and then got logged in to accounts that weren't their own. I hope it's just a weird coincidence, though.

In addition to my previous comment, I see it's even listing games I haven't ever installed, like Don't Starve Together'. I never bought that game, it was just unlocked for free at the time because I owned Don't Starve prior, I've not touched it in any way before.

First its not the cash issue we had last time
Second of all thats not what happen, and scearing users is nota good idea
What did happen back then was a cash issue, so users that try to enter there account page may have gotten someone else account page
They where not login the account, they only where able to see the account page nothing else (And only of users that went into there ccount page at the time)

Abut the games bug, you are not alone, seem like many users got a bounce for games (none known order or why) that show as played (There for recent)
So far its all that is known abut that bug
But i do not think its a need to alarm

Scan your pc with a anti virus such as malware bytes b4 you change the password.

the bug only impacted games in your library that have been played. all other games you have that you never clicked play, should be ok.

Thanks i had some other issue mean while with the need to verfie all my installed games, so was just relaying on what i heard... thanks for clearing that up

and when you opt out of the beta now, your games will need to be verified again.

I did opt out of the beta, then went back in.. well at least its down to only 15 more was on all day for the rest

Thanks for the answer, just the first thing that popped to mind because it sounded similar to me, but I'm glad it's hereby debunked. I didn't post anywhere else or even told anyone, so it wasn't intended to cause a platform-wide scare or anything :)
