Been open for two weeks, and. not even a reply.... i cant install. three of my games because it says unsupported platform and so i reinstalled steam and cleared cache, but didnt work, they dont seem to care about their customers, tempted to take my keys and leave. how can i get my games that i bought outside. steam, with the same product key

Valve will be unable to assist you with products outside of Valve's scope of products they've released. There will be a similar reply to your support ticket, so I can only recommend that you refer to the above link to save yourself a lot of waiting time. :^)

its happening across multiple games and developers, the games willinstall and play on my other computer, just not the custom i built, the problem started after upgrading to pro from home

So Civilization VI and Dying Light both require a 64-bit version of Windows, and throw the unsupported platform error if you attempt to download them on a 32-bit version of Windows. Are you absolutely certain your operating system is 64-bit?

yes i am, i just paid to upgrade to pro, so ya i am positive. could the upgrade of caused? i have removed steam and reinstalled since then but still does it.

I figured since you said pro that you missunderstood something. It doesn't matter what edition of windows you have, what matters is what is on the disk or usb stick you use to install.

If you have window 7 then you can just download windows 7 64bit and install that next time, it counts as the same license.

You just need a iso for the 64bit version.
EDIT: Some isos have both versions..

This is why it says you have so little avaliable RAM, Im guessing you have more ram then it really says?
If you use 32bit then windows can't use it all so installing the correct windows will make your PC better in general.

You are right, that's what I was trying to say.
I'm just saying he doesn't need to get a new windows 7 key or something, he just needs new media if he doesn't have a dvd that has both.
Since he tried switching to windows 7 pro to solve this I felt this needed to be clarified.

OP may need to be sure there are drivers for a 64 bit OS to run on that machine, just in case.

OP check the manufacturer's website to be sure that 64 bit Windows 7 drivers are available first.
