Everything works fine if i open it in the browser.
Cannot open Steam Store in FireFox or Internet Explorer either. Chrome is working fine.
I have the same prob. since today, no store page and no feed...loads fine in chrome, but not in FF.
Faking my UserAgent in Firefox did let me load the store again (because now it loads the working *.akamai.steamstatic.com).
There is clearly something broken on Steams end.
Can confirm that this seems to be the issue.
FireFox loads: *.edgecast.steamstatic.com = does not work.
Chrome loads: *.akamai.steamstatic.com = works fine.
For some reason my Chrome and all other browsers want to use *.edgecast.steamstatic.com.
Is there any way to change that without extensions?
Obviously (or, rather "it never fixed it, that was just random luck").
Displaying images in a browser has nothing to do with drivers, unless they are like really going mad with trying to patch all sorts of hacks into all sorts of software. And even then, it would only hit users that actually use those nightmarish drivers.
But you're right, problem is back.
some images load but pretty much no store page does.
avatars are sometimes working, its really random.
Fairly sure the problem is on steams side of things.
Considering the fact we're all from different parts of the world with different computers, its too random. (unless everyone here and in similar threads is dutch)
Steam in the top left of the client, then settings, then Web Browser. Delete Web Browser Cache. Allow the page to refresh.
Wait, as this may take several seconds, and don't click on anything. When you see the page refresh, then see if that helped.
Only the client seems to be affected. Browser loads everything just fine.
