Black Desert

Black Desert

BDO Doesn't Work
I double click the file or the desktop icon or the 'PLAY' button in Steam and I'll get the Logo on the smear of white paint and the black cloud creature then I get a pop-up saying "Black Desert Online Launcher for Steam Has Stopped Working, Please Close the Program"

I have done the LAN Connections, have checked it for firewall issues, there are none, I have done the bdo.bat file fix but doesn't work either way and I have Validated the files from Steam but 1 keeps failing to validate, and never reacquires itself... Please Help

Post your antivirus program, please.

Post your complete computer system specs. (GPU, RAM, CPU, the operating system, etc.)

If a game will not launch from the user's Steam library, the topic goes here actually. Thanks.

Run it as administrator.
DrinkerofWater Jun 4, 2017 @ 1:55pm
I can barely run it, I double click it, I don't even get into the game it collapses/crashes before the game even starts. I have run it as Admin, I've run it as admin whilst running Steam as Admin, 1 file still doesn't validate and won't reaquire

You suggesting the workaround... because I tried the bdo.Bat file that still doesn't work around the crashing ... so thank you for the link but no It still doesn't work even with the notepad and the bdo.bat

EDIT...
Important: One or more files may fail to verify.

This is normal for most Steam games. The files that fail to verify are local configuration files that should not be replaced as part of this process. You can safely ignore this message.

I run PC-Matic Supershield Anti-Malware/Virus
Windows 7, Intel core i7, Ram who knows, CPU who knows, its an HP I'm surprised it hasn't blown up by now based on the funky parts and a 5 year old model graphics card (NVidia GT 640)

This is why it is always a good idea to post your specs in a thread asking for help such as you need.

From the game's store page....

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM:
OS: Windows 7 or higher (32-bit or 64-bit)
Processor: Intel Core i3-530 2.9 GHz
Memory: 6 GB RAM
Graphics: GTX 650 / GTX 550Ti, Radeon HD 7770, 6770
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 52 GB available space

Your GPU alone is way under minimum for this game.

My GPU and Computer specs aren't the bloody issue

Your GPU is under spec for the game. It does not meet the bloody system minimum requirements. Read the store page minimum requirements.

There's a file that is not acquiring in the BDO common folder, which is apparently important to run the LAUNCHER, I'm not talking about graphics in game I'm talking about not being able to launch the launcher. This has very little to nothing to do with what my computer is made out of, it's something missing from the BDO Folder that's apparently important to the launcher

So let's say you are correct and you somehow get this problem of missing file fixed up.

The game is still over what your computer specs will handle. You have not even posted your RAM or CPU yet, as asked for above.

Those may be under spec also.

There's a special thing called GeForce Experience that upgrades your current GPU with data that helps it run higher graphical games, and you're hella not helpful in this thread, please leave mate

Ummm....GeForce Exp. will not change the hardware in your computer and magically make it meet the system requirements. You have no idea what you are talking about, sorry.

You get 2 hours of playtime and then you surely cannot refund it. So don't say you were not warned if you keep trying to get the game launching and your playtime keeps creeping up .1 hours at a time, while not actually you playing it but it crashing or refusing to launch properly.

Playtime is playtime, and your playtime now is .4 so just trying to warn you here. If you go over 2 hours, you surely won't get a refund for it.

EDIT..Telling you facts that you may not like to hear is not "being unhelpful".

I meant unhelpful being you were talking about a problem I DON'T HAVE YET ... or probably never will because even if its a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ GPU in runs higher graphical games than BDO 20 hours a day
