"Expect news on new native titles for SteamOS on the coming weeks".
*Obligatory Half Life 3/2 Episode 3 remark here*
Streaming works from any OS, which means basically you can play all games (makes room for thin clients). Let's face it, the only reason why gamers use Windows is because software (including games) is restricted to that plattform.
While an open operating system offers great opportunities for developers and customers.
The system will stream our PC games but I can just as easily hookup my PC to a TV or just play on my 40 inch screen already attached to the PC. There will be few games that support 2 players on the same system, keyboard and joystick games will require additional accessories to play. The casual gamer and even the majority will not be interested in this which will result in the product gaining no traction.
We have home consoles that allow you to play games on your living room TV.
Also like i say before it will be more like a console then any thing else
Where did you see that?
Hell I just got HDTV and a DVR in February of this year...hell, I do not own a cell phone. I take a long time to migrate to new technology, so I have no interest in this for at least the next 4 or 5 years.
