Purchase all unowned DLC?
I'm curious why there is no purchase all unowned DLC button when you go to the game's page. For example, Borderlands 2 has tons of DLC and I don't want to have to click on them and then click add to cart, and the go back to the page and click the next one. It would be easier if you could just click 'add all unowned to cart'. Especially for games which have a lot of DLC and you are behind but already own some of them.

Also why is the no smaller add to cart button on the main page right next to the DLC? So you can just click on that, instead of having to go to each individual DLC page just to click add to cart. Either one would be a solution to my frustrations. :P

Try this: http://www.enhancedsteam.com/

If you install this extension in your Chrome browser you'll be able to see which DLC you already own and just buy the one you don't.

Of course, Enhaced Steam only works on a browser. In your Steam client, everything will be the same design as always.

I think that's a pretty good idea, you should definitively post this in Suggestions/ Ideas forum so it doesn't go unnoticed.

Well, it's actually quite simple to accomplish: a game that has DLCs has a DLC list on the shop page, with a button "add all to cart". Click that to put all the DLCs in your cart.

Now, when you go to your cart, you'll see that Steam tells you which of the items you already own. And every item has a "remove" link. It shouldn't be too complicated to just click remove on all the items that are listed as being owned.

It's more work than a "add unowned DLCs" button, but might be faster than going through the individual shop pages for each DLC. Although, with Enhanced Steam, I tend to just open the "all DLCs" list, middle-click on the ones that I don't have to open them in a new tab, and go through all the tabs clicking "add to cart".

Something that's more annoying than the lack of an "unowned DLCs" button is that games with season passes tend to treat the season pass as being separate from the DLCs that it adds. That's one of the reasons why I don't have Borderlands 2 yet -- too lazy to do the research on what DLCs are included and what needs to be bought.

Yes, you try that with a game like Borderlands 2 or Crusader Kings 2. :P You will spend more time removing and refreshing than just finding the ones you don't own. None the less, the have implemented a system which tells me which I do and do not own, so I'm happy enough.
That would be a great idea!

Especially for those games where they release a "deluxe" version on day 1 with some DLC already in it yet don't include other stuff that comes out later.

In all honesty I wish DLC didn't exist in the first place though, and they would just give players a complete game from the start.
