Can I use STEAM coupons on games that are on sale (packs etc.)?

Hi there!

Today you can get a 75% off coupon for FORGE if you fulfill these requirements[raptr.com]!

My question is:
Can I also use this coupon during any STEAM Sales or on packs (4-pack)?

No. You can buy it through Raptr for the 75% off and they will send you a Key. Steam it's self does not take coupons, it only has it's own sales.

Also, it is a disount (through Raptr), not a coupon.

I answered that. No you can not. Steam does not take coupons at all. They only do their own sales.

Strike that. Just read a few post on the Raptr site.

You can link your Steam account with Raptr, then go through them to buy it from Steam. Discounts will not stack, and the offer does expire.

Enter the code in the "Games" (upper left corner) Go to "Activate a Product on Steam..." enter code.

You can not apply coupons during sales, unless the coupon says otherwise (it usually also is golden if you can).

Also, ignore the Spawn. You enter the code into Steam and get the coupon into your backpack.

Spawn. You're wrong. Raptr provides a code that can be redeemed on Steam. That in turn allows you to purchase Forge at a 75% discount on Steam itself. Sgt Fopper's question is can this discount be used on top of a future Steam sale for which I am not 100% sure of (I believe it's probably unlikely but I'm saving it to find out for myself!)

Please do your research and read people's questions properly before answering with false information. As far as I know Raptr don't even sell games!

I was wrong about the proccess, but correct about the coupon not stacking with a sale.

What can I say, I don't use Raptr because I see it as a security risk.

They do work assuming the coupon doesn't have the restriction taht it cannot be 'stacked' with other discounts. For example with Serious Sam 3 they had Steam sale, and Alienware had a 75% off coupon. I managed to get SS3 for almost nothing (2 bucks) with the stacked disconts.

But I got a Trine2 50% off coupone later but that explicitly said that it didnt' stack.

You completey disregarded the fact that coupons could be used from Raptr or any other service for that matter so I don't see how you were right about anything.

This one is likely stackable.

But ehre's one I got from Alienware for Sniper2

90% off on the title Sniper: Ghost Warrior Gold Edition.
Can't be applied with other discounts.

Note the bolded part of the coupon.

Therefore it depeends on the coupon. Note the stackable SS3 coupon I got was from raptr (thanks to them I have gotten SS3 for dirt cheat and Dead Island for free)

Answer is: IT DEPENDS.

And as the Forge coupon does not state that it cannot be applied to other discounts, it looks likely to work with other discounts. Let's all hope.

I dono man, I tried using them on January 3rd and it didn't work. By didn't work, I mean the game doesn't even acknowledge the existence of the coupon.
