Don't worry, other people will make Steam Boxs.
Including Valve.
But yeah pretty much this.
Why does it suck? any particular reason?
I've never understood the whole micro console thing since having a pc fills the same role.
It is a $1,000 laptop shoved into a small box with no screen.
The real Steambox is more of a local cloud gaming server that you can connect to several screens with jsut as many games being played at the same time. Think of it a OnLive, but not over the internet.
Oh is that what they're doing?
That is what I gather from the articles I have read. I'll see if I saved the link to one.

"The way we sort of think of it is sort of "Good, Better," or "Best." So, Good are like these very low-cost streaming solutions that you’re going to see that are using Miracast or Grid. I think we’re talking about in-home solutions where you’ve got low latency. "Better" is to have a dedicated CPU and GPU and that’s the one that’s going to be controlled."
Ahh I see. So they're going for different tiers as well. Interesting, thanks for the link bud.
So....did you just stop on that post and not bother to read the other one? Where I provided a link? And even quoted a part?
Quite making assumtions based on a single post and start reading the thread.
Well anyway i have the official vidoe interview and prototype pick on my thread.
You can find it on the steam community section.
