VacNet has been working OT for months banning well over 10k accounts alone.
but faceit anticheat is so strong because they are spending money for it and admins. it means its possible to make a strong anticheat.
Faceit uses a kernel level anticheat which allows them to be far more effective when it comes to cheat detection BECAUSE such systems have core access to your computers operating system which is primarily why so many people dislike such systems.
It even became something that devs had to openly disclose on steam so consumers knew what they were purchasing.

If the vast majority of people were willing, thus negating backlash they’d otherwise have, Valve would’ve likely gone in that direction themselves. I prefer VAC because it’s effective, hard to fight against and doesn’t require me allowing it full access to my core systems.
Most people hate kernel level anti cheat. You know how people complain about Denuva? Well, i imagine alot of people would complain worse if this was in the Vac ban program. I remember when a game had kernel level anti cheats in it, and half the people complained about it when the game came out. Plus some of the kernel level anti cheats are not compatible with windows 11 OS. For example, Battle Eye uses kernel level anti cheat in some games, but it does not work properly with Windows 11 OS, at least until some kind of fix is found for it. I ran into this when playing Destiny and Watch Dogs Legion.
Oh I'm aware, thats why I said if the vast majority of people were willing then Valve would've likely already had VAC work in such a way.
I just figure I'd point out that Faceit's anticheat is Kernel level. Its "better" for a price most do not want to pay.
I think the hate is because the cheaters have no way to circumvent this when they get caught since the hardware itself is marked for cheating. So the loudest people about this are the cheaters themselves. Technically, this does not bother me. I am fine with kernal level anti cheat. As i said, only problem is that windows 11 os have issues with it i hope they fix someday.
Did you mean to reply to yourself?
No, i meant to quote you. Sorry. I was rushing to write it because a friend came over to visit for valentine day.
Ahh okay, then I'll reply to it-
So to start! I think its a bit much to say the loudest of the complainers are all cheaters. I'm sure they make up some of it, but most of the complaints I see are simply about not wanting to give strangers that level of access to their personal computer.
You are legit giving a company, people you do NOT know personally, complete and unrestricted access to monitor your computer activity at all times with full permissions and privileges all without asking the user (you) of the computer for permission at all.
I, and many others, do not want to give a company (or total strangers in general) that kind of access to my personal computer.

Faceit servers use VAC too. Did you know that?
