You ever play a game when...
When the character select music is better than any other the other tracks in the game? I mean damn... What is the deal with that am I right? It's just character selection. You're just picking your character, but somehow the music behind it is much more intense than even the final boss music. Picking a character never felt so badass.

No. It may be one of the better ones on the soundtrack but I have never had it be the best on the soundtrack.

That is coming from someone who spends his time listening to OSTs from RPGs and other games.

You say it like it's a bad thing. Taking time to appreciate OSTs in games enough to realize which are good or possibly the best one. I don't see why it has to be seen as bad? A lot of effort goes into the music of games after all. Just as much as the rest of the game itself.

Street fighter 6 character select is pretty good, but the in game tracks aren't that great, at least before dlc and more music came.

You should try Moon. You can go around the game finding cd's to play different music in the game. Each track and song is different. It is really neat.

When it comes to games I almost always shut the music off and so I don't notice it whether it is in the menu or in the actual game. To me I want to be immersed by the world and what is going on in the game and not distracted by some music that would not be there if what was happening in the game was happening in the real world.

Your missing some great artistic music. It is really your choice in your end, but i feel your missing out.

Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns had (and I don't think I'm the only player who would make this claim) the best music of the expansion on the login screen.

Don't get me wrong - a lot of good music in there. Just the best song was first.

Some of my favorite music is from Chrono Cross. This includes the remix chrono trigger theme on the map, and the dead sea music. I also like the termina another world festival track.

This guy does a good cover of it:

Imagine if the "you're dead" music rocks harder than the character select menu music.
