I hope Gabe Newell isn't the only person stopping Steam from REMOVING games from our libraries!
I really hope that, once Gabe Newell dies, then Steam won't get so horrible that it will start actually removing games from our Steam Libraries!

You only get items removed from your library either using the advanced hide feature (it can be restored) or if you have redeemed a stolen key or otherwise illegitimate key & it was revoked.

I hope that policy STAYS that way permanently, too. Of course, removing games we've BOUGHT from our Steam Libraries would NOT be good business.

There are only two ways a game gets removed from your library.

One, you doing it yourself by clicking on the game and selecting the support tab and selecting "I want to permanently remove this game from my account."

Two, you activate a Steam key that was obtained fraudulently.

Don't feed the troll.

OP stated in his last thread GameStop going bancrupt would kill Steam inmeidately.

'nuff said.

I recommend editting the OP and fixing some of the tone there. If you are from the states, you probably know people tend to see passive aggressive messages and 'other intentions' behind words than take things literally the way you say.
in other words, they will see that you wrote something nasty in its current form.

Its basically the same as the way you interpreted the announcement. You didn't read it literally, you interpreted it as something else and came to the conclusion you stated in the OP.

Oh, that nutjob. Thank you for the warning!

The reason for this post is that I've just come in from a YouTube stream in which the person hosting that stream expressed this possibility of Steam removing games from our Steam Libraries being one of the possible results of Gabe Newell's death. Which is downright SCARY if you ask me.

Please post your source proving this, otherwise you are full of it...

Do you see how many games I have on my account? Out of all my games, only one has been removed and that is because of the reason that I stated above. The developer thought the keys were obtained fraudulently. Fortunately this was proven to be untrue and the site where we purchased the keys, which was Fanatical, gave us new keys.

If you mean that an account was hijacked and the hijacker removed all of the games from the library, you are aware that those can be restored right?

So basically "It's on Youtube, so it must be true". Don't believe those clickbait videos, OP.

Someone taking over and mass removing games thereby causing the platform to crash and burn isn't one of my concerns. Steam is after all a money printing machine and as crazy as it might sound...most people like money.
