Go to C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Application Data , where User is the username of your profile account.

scroll to the bottom
Select the IconCache. db file found in the Application Data folder. Right-click on this file and click Delete.
Restart your computer windows should have rebuilt them
Didn't work. Every icon is still blank.
It seems the issue stems from the games being installed on external drives. I can get it to work by uninstalling the game and reinstalling on the C: drive. I wonder why that would create an issue...??
