Nice how Steam apparently didn't even bother to test the Linux client before release.
Unfortunately there's still some major glitches going on, such as it being very difficult to click and drag the window from the title bar, and the drop-down menus in general being glitchy (especially if you leave one open while dragging the window around). They can just float all over, and aren't tethered to their original position within the steam window. This happens even without the scaling though, so it's just some other bug with the new UI.
I'm running Linux Mint Cinnamon 21.1 with a 4k 27 inch screen. System scaling is set to 200% yet by default none of the options seem to work.
PLEASE PLEASE! give us a slider for the UI.
Valve seems to have no issue rolling out broken software outside the beta channel at this point. I'd rather receive the update later if it's that broken. Linux client used to be very stable. Also maximising through the window manager (every WM I tested) and not the inbuilt maximise button makes web views turn completely black until you switch tabs.
