I´`ve heard about this steam machine what is it, if it exists.

I``ve got a friend who has been talking about he also says that half life 3 will be an exclusive on it does anyone have any information on it

The steam machine is valves attempt to bring pc gaming into the living rooms of the illiterate console/pc gamers who don't realize that you can already use your gaming pc with your 60 inch tv and a xbox controller..It will run an operating system comparable to the playstation and xbox os's that scream I R FOR GAMING when you turn it on..Maybe something similar to big picture mode or it may just be big picture mode itself..Think of your pc booting straight into big picture mode when you turned it on.

I wish steam the best and hope they sell many steam machines because it would be good for the pc gaming market..However I would advise anyone who does not know to do a little research and realize that having the console experience with a gaming pc is already possible.

Nothing other than Valve trying to consolize PC gaming.

Nothing regarding Steam OS emulates PC gaming. Actually the opposite. It's clear as day, so you might as well be honest about it.

Can't wait to see if the controller really does it's job. You know that thing that pisses me off in FPS on consoles because it's a velocity based thumbstick, well they are changing that to emulate a mouse (I say position based pad, but I have no idea how it's called).
