Obligatory Spring Sale Sucks Thread
I expected to be disappointed and was not surprised by the lackluster offerings & discounts when browsing the store page and my own wishlist.

How about you cats? Find anything good/worthwhile? Any hidden gems out there?

Seems like these "big" seasonal sales are turning into little popcorn farts tbh. Developers/publishers apparently need a major reality check in regards to the real current worth of their games.

When you have a sale every month or two, rather than Two Big Sales half a year apart, of course they've not going to be as dramatic. /meh

(plus no more FOMO features like daily/hourly bonus special prices. Which we traded for the ability to do refunds.)

I didn't even know there was a sale. Thanks for reminding me lol.
The artwork is a bit strange, I'm not sure what that thing in the middle is, some kind of freaky plant. I'm not convinced I'll be in a rush to add any of the points shop items this year. The thing I liked about the last two summer sales is that the theme was quite summer-y, I'm hoping that'll be the case this year though I'm not sure how it would work.

As for the discounts, most of the good discounts are things I've already played on PlayStation.

New artist made that new artwork. I still like the steam girl ones, but some people did not liker her style of artwork that the artist made. I know steam changes the artwork artist every year too.

Oh yeah, I knew that there was going to be a new artist and art style this year, as much as I liked Steam delivery girl, I was fine with that. A kind of wild, alien planet could be interesting for the summer sale, if they somehow make it summer-y.

Like... an alien beach or something, that could be cool.

But you don't get point shop points at Humble!
Anyone know who the new artist's name is? I would like to see other example of artwork they made too.
BTW, i was going off topic, so i post this here. I am quite upset by how the prices are for the rpgs games this year. Guess i have to wait until next year to buy them now or hope a deeper discount for xmas sale or summer sale.

The short timed deals became obsolete with easy refunds. However, the discounts that made those deals 'special' were gone even before.
The flash deals stopped being great before they were gone.

We'd probably be seeing the same level of discounts if we still had flash sales around.

I need to find a different hobby.

Stale boring and to expensive and it looks more and more like slop.
And if it looks interesting it has Denuvo.
And even if you buy it you don't own it.

Currently sitting in my cart being pondered:

https://store.steampowered.com/sub/12169/ (Tropico 1-3 bundle)

https://store.steampowered.com/app/493900/Dungeons_3/
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1184370/Pathfinder_Wrath_of_the_Righteous__Enhanced_Edition/
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1805480/Like_a_Dragon_Ishin/

While the first two are obviously subjective deals (or deals to finalize the collection), Pathfinder: Wrath for 90% seems pretty good if you don't already have it.

Also, any semi-recent Yakuza game at 75% is definitely not a turn-down if you have played previous Yakuza games and liked them. Played the demo and it was so much fun.

Not before consulting IsThereAnyDeal first, shall I make a decision.

I played my fair share of Tropico 3 some time ago. I found it a pleasant experience.

And I loved Pathfinder Kingmaker (I GM'd the RPG tabletop version with friends) So that's definetly on my radar.
