Well, you'll regret that you bought it when you could have got it for free. Sorry.

Well the work on metro 2033 redux is pretty epic, the graphic improvemente are huge... just finished on survival-ranger-difficult mode and it was a wonderfull trip.

Searching this exact forum gives you this post that has all the prerelease information on Redux.

Redux has improved graphics, improved voice quality, some voice actor changes, more environmental effects/changes, more weapons, different achievements, better gunplay, level changes (added rooms, encounters), and stealth that is slightly easier (unless you play ranger hardcore).

Having played through Redux and through some of the original, I think I prefer Redux, but the original has its charm. I like having both. I plan to play through the original as well.

Also the DLC comes with the redux version.

I think the graphics are better, or shall I say improved, in Redux. Interestingly the story and game play IS changed; many of the difficult battles of the original are easier. A few are more difficult, and some of the scenarios have changed - at least one I know of that is quite different and you have a helluva battle before it resumes in the manner of the original. Note: 2 1/2 play throughs on Spartan, have not yet tried Survival.
Oh year, forgot. A couple of familar weapons function differently. The Volt Driver, for instance, no longer has the secondary firing capability (electrocution). Couple others change a bit, too.
