It seems like "Pending Balance" was removed for CS2 cases
However it still remains for skins. I wish this pending balance feature would be removed completely because it adds nothing but this is better than nothing

It's based on where the money came from, not what item you're selling on the market.

It adds nothing for you maybe. But you're not the only party on Steam with interests and concerns. Your ability to discount everyone but yourself might not be the big brain argument you think it is.

Dude, no one asked for that. Name one good reason how pending balance is useful?

Because when you receive your money, it is yours and there is no danger of it being removed down the line because the initial transaction was deemed to be fraudulent by the purchaser. It means the money and any item or Store purchases are safeguarded and cannot be rolled-back.

Lots of people actually asked for it because they were tired of making a big sale and then having all their proceeds revoked, sometimes months down the line. In some instances, they wouldn't even get their original item back either as per the rollback.
Sold 3 of the same cases at 3 different prices, 2 are stuck in pending.

:nkCool:

It's an anti-fraud measure.

Why do you think Valve arbitrarily added a useless feature to annoy and inconvenience you? I mean that doesn't make much sense, so maybe it's not as useless and arbitrary as you want to assume.

Granted you've already made your assumptions, invested into them and have doubled down on them. It would be a tall order for you to actually step back and scrutinize your position and change your mind.

And certainly for people who fund their accounts primarily through the market and are desperate for these pennies and dollars of wallet funds I understand anything that impedes that however slightly is never going to be something for you to cheer about. Ultimately, if you don't like it, bust out your big boy money, no one is forcing you to use the market. And if that's not an option, you should remember this phrase, "beggars can't be choosers".

Talk about condescending much LOL why not put the purchased item In pending and just give us the damn "pennies and dollars" that the billion dollar boot you are licking has. the skins will never be invalid only the funds if they can't verify the funds hold the item back from the buyer not the money from the seller, simple fix. Lord
