Yes, it's great that there are games for all kinds of people, and those who don't like the games mentioned are free to not buy them.

Other than those games representing the early days of gaming that allowed you to play the games you currently enjoy, I see no problem with that. People clearly are inspired by other games, so it would be obvious there are a great number of them. At the end of the day you could question why there are "silly" games, but personally I would focus on if the games that I need are available or if the ones I have are fun and if so the rest matters not to me.
