Soft Horror games

Hello everyone ! (sorry for my rusty english)
Im a noobie horror player, i just played a few titles (outlast, maid of sker, martha is dead, JustTomCuk Games). I've also watched a full let's play of Madison to test my limits. Im so anxious and scared about that genre but i really want to explore it, and i have a Youtube channel project btw wich is my main source of motivation. Im trying to choose some soft horror games to get used to it step by step. I've made a list of intresting games (+ a retro games list), there is the link :

So what exactly do you need help with? Finding games that are not very horror like but lightly horror games? There are many walking simulator horror games you can check on steam. They tend to be very light on horror elements. Also there is a clock tower remake on steam, due to the age of it, it is not very horror like, but it used to be.

Dead rising is not soft horror. It has a timer that makes you feel like you need to finish stuff all the time and makes you anxious. It also features people and zombies that are quite threatening. For example a guy dressed as a clown with chainsaws. Yes, i have played it several times. Not a soft horror game.

Hmm, I suppose so. Everything is kind of light hearted, b movie, and not too threatening I found myself, but understandable take on it. I think the amount of horror is similar in deadly premonition though... I added gylt and catherine to my post as you replied also

I found control is pretty soft horror. It takes place in the ALAN WAKE universe. The scariest things are the boss in the DLC. It has alot of atmospheric and psychological horror than actual horror. The main enemies in it, the hiss, are not scary, but they just look like people with shadows around them.

Actually I think to be fair, outlast is more scary than the resident evil series (not counting 2 remake and 7, I consider those scary) deadly premonition, dead rising, clocktower games, silent hill games, imo.

Oh yeah, I was just saying since you played it already, I don't think some of those games are more scary than it, imo though.

I do find the outlast/alien type games generally more scary than most horror, feel like you want to avoid them more lol
