Please add a significant warning about "Ubisoft launcher"
Everytime I launch a game from steam that requires the ubisoft launcher, I'm facing issues.

Trackmania 2020: 50% of the times I launch, I have to press 2-5 times "Yes" to giving elevated permissions to some ubisoft service. No other launcher requires this much active interaction to perform simple background updates. I hate it.

TM2020 buying club access: I somehow managed to pay, then was not given club access. I asked around, and was told by ubisoft support to just wait for 24 hours. 48 hours later I finally had club access, but no reasons were given to they 47.9 hours delay. I hate it.

Fenyx immortals rising: Couldn't launch the game. No feedback, just didn't launch, no errors, no popups, no nothing. Until I decided to close the ubisoft launcher myself... Now the game finally launched. And then it starts showing huge achievement popups in game.I hate it. (I'm a new player, I'm complaining about new achievements being huge and clunky)

Ever faced the popup that asks you to login, despite you having checked the "Remember me" checkbox? I certainly have. Many times. Many, many, many times. I'm so tired of logging into this idiotic excuse for a launcher.

Ever faced the issue where you can't log in because the services are down? I have! Many times! Too many times!

Please require a warning on games that require the ubisoft launcher. There are more than one game I'd outright avoid buying if I'd known that the ubisoft launcher was involved. I don't want to make this mistake again.

The ubisoft launcher is so detrimental to my gaming experience, I just don't want to deal with it. I'd like a warning so I can avoid this useless piece of "launcher" software. I don't want to spend money in any direction that results in me using the ubisoft launcher.

Please, please, please, add a warning!

It has a warning though it’s a bit hidden in the corner

Requires 3rd-Party Account: Ubisoft Account (Supports Linking to Steam Account)

:nkCool:
The reason immortals fenyx rising got a huge chunk of achievements is you played it in the past. Ubisoft has added most steam achievements for most of their older games now. Not all of them, but alot of them now have steam achievements.

Been using the launcher myself fine. Do you have a firewall exception for ubisoft connect? You may need to allow it to go thru the windows firewall or your virus scanners firewall to work properly.

Requiring a third party account is not equivalent of requiring a third party launcher.
Also, it's not a significant warning. Your reply doesn't really correlate to my post.

I'm not complaining about "a huge chunk". I'm a new player. I had no prior achievements.

I'm complaining that there is a huge popup in my game whenever I get an achievement, and that it requires me to deal with a third part launcher.

I actually like achievements, just not the part where they are in my face and hiding significant portions of the game.

Where does it show that I need a third party launcher?
Occasionally developers also add launchers to titles after release.
Then you get achievements you don't even want, and maybe even years after purchasing a title.

Do you think the game designer actually wanted achievements in your game?
Of course not. If it wanted that, it would have made the achievement system an integral part of the gameplay or art-style in-game, instead of adding a "tagged on" system years after release.

Research the game you're buying before purchasing. You have all the information you need on the store page.

Just so you know, since you obviously don't know,

This is a USER only steam sub-forum....

There are no valve / steam employees, or staff, techs, support team members or moderation team members in the 2 steam related sub-forums.

so your off topic rant will not be seen, except by other steam users like you. They have also shown you were you missed the info already posted on the game store page.
If Valve's own warning isn't good enough for you, look up Augmented Steam. Install the browser plug in. Browse the Steam store from that browser. Turn on the relevant setting to see DRM warnings and you'll see a very large, very angry red box telling you: "Warning: This title uses DRM" -- along with the specifics of WHAT that DRM is.

If you're having issues with the Connect client though, you might want to try updating it.

It "remembers" logged in states just as well as most other clients do. Personally, I find it's EA App that always asks me to log in regardless -- but I rarely launch that one, which is likely why. Connect asks me to log back in once every 2 or so months depending on what I launch. It does have an annoying habit of wanting you to log back in for certain age-gated games -- but search the net about that, someone did find a workaround.

i don't blame you for missing it, my eyes sometimes just glaze over that ♥♥♥♥ on the right lol

You mean the two yellow-brown boxes with bold lettering that are the only two things that are identical on the store page?
