Family sharing question
If I join a family group, that enables a one year wait period until I can join a new group.

What happens if you get kicked from a family group during that one year period? do you have to wait to join a new one still or does the timer reset?

You would have to wait one year. If getting kicked was some kind of loophole it would be abused in about 0.01 seconds and would defeat the whole point of the one year cooldown.

You still have to wait and the slot you occupied in that family also has a 1 year cooldown before they can invite someone else in your place.
But you can rejoin the same family that kicked you without any cooldown.

Why would you get kicked from your own family?
I imagine this was put into place in the new family system as people were abusing it on the old family system. You know, how scammers abused getting free items claiming they were stolen, then using it to steal basically items from steam.

I bet because someone misread "family" as "game-pooling group".

Because he thought he could still use it to join random strangers to share games, and then just get kicked to avoid the cooldown....

Thank you, that's what I thought, moving house as of recent and the people i'm moving with are split into 2 groups both containing members on the year cooldown, we were trying to figure out any way possible to merge the two groups together since they contain 2/6 and 3/6 respectively.

Why do you feel the need to misgender me for no reason, nonetheless accuse me of trying to do something against tos, It's actually because i'm wanting to combine the members of 2 split family groups into just one family group. :p2cube:
