Moderators who abuse their power

There's got to be some kind of checks and balance system implemented, I just got banned permanently because of complaining about my posts being deleted, no swearing, no insults, but I think it's personal because the moderator left me a real cheeky goodby message and stated that I somehow threatened violence towards them?
The mods name is Sardukhar, and he lurks in the cyberpunk 2077 forums.
This is crazy, there's got to be some kind of way to check a power tripping mod who can just by themselves ban you forever.

First of all, naming and shaming is not allowed on Steam (except if that changed and I am not aware XD you can check the rules)
Anyway reply to the message nicely, if you cant get it fixed like that turn to the developers Support Cyberpunk I belive is CD Project Red, so turn to there support and tell them, its there Hub and they can do as they want, and they also pick the moderators for it

If you received a permanent ban, then most likely you've had other bans that led up to this one. It's pretty hard to get a permanent ban off the bat unless you really go off the rocker.

Never insulted anyone, never threatened or name called, I WAS critical of the game, especially certain technical aspects, it seems more like to me if you're outspoken some power tripper will ostracize you,

This is ridiculous, I named them because they are discriminating against me and other members of the forum, this is not the 1st time people have complained about this individual

Then take your issue to the developers directly. Steam cannot and will not do anything about this, nor will making a thread here solve your problem.

If you have genuinely been banned for nothing, the developers are the ones you need to have review it.

So being critical about a game is grounds for a ban? The man wrote that I was threatening violence, do you know how ridiculous that sounds?? These are STEAM forums and you're telling me STEAM cannot do anything about it? Admittedly I am relatively new to steam (year 2), but even to me that sounds ridiculous

Being critical is not grounds for a ban, as long as you are civil in how you present said criticism.

Yes, these are the Steam forums, but the developers run their own hubs and Steam has chosen to have a hands off approach to dealing with them. They will not overturn developer/hub moderator imposed bans or actions, only Valve mod ones.

Call it ridiculous as much as you like, it doesn't change the fact that you will need to contact the developers in order to have your ban reviewed.

if you search for this guys name in the the cyberpunk 2077 forums you will see various instances of people protesting his disingenuous ways and abuse of power, and btw that's not even counting all the posts that were undoubtably deleted. It seems like there are certain things we cannot even politely go against, so much for the internet, who knew the biggest keyboard warrior were mods. Didn't realize Steam forums were reddit 2.0

It's their space. They can ban you if they don't like the colour of your socks. That isn't abuse. no one is required to put up with you

Some game forums on this platform are run by mods that completely abuse their power. Steam/Valve needs to crack down on this behaviour and send these keyboard heroes back to Reddit

This is true. Problem is that Valve will not do any thing, and they also abuse their power themselves as well.

if you truly believe that the moderators are abusing their position

you can get in contact with the people that hired them

if it winds up being the same people/person

or they tell you that the moderators decisions are final

then that is the answer

you will need to go to a board that is not "owned" by the devs

there are many

you could even start your own and then you can ban people or not

Imagine Elon Musk taking over Steam Moderator Power and banning everyone, replacing all steam support with people who work for The Injustice system,
Elon Musk is not the only person wanting power. they all abuse their power.
