And even *if* digital game purchases are affected by tariffs. . . the Tariffs that Don-boy just threw all over the place would make games more expensive for US purchasers, not you.
(and I'm pretty sure Steam/Gabe/game devs/etc don't "support" the tariffs. Almost no-one outside the core cult members do.)
1990's at kmart. Invent a time machine.
Most of the time, not all.
Only PHYSICAL products are hit with tariffs that meant if you're in USA, and you're IMPORTS goods from another country that USA put tariffs on, you're hit with the tariffs, not the other way around, that how tariffs works. Let say you're from UK, so if UK put tariffs on USA for imports, that meant your OWN gov of UK is taxing you for importing from the USA.
Also buying games from Digital store is not supporting USA tariffs, so to put it simple, Steam, Epic, and etc are not part of whatever you think is going on, and not just that you forget there are LOT of games made in USA, so think about that for a moment,. Again ONLY physical goods are affected, not digital, unless stated otherwise.
Digital goods won't be affected by tariffs. If you just want to support a non-US company though, GOG is Polish.
However, USA has placed a tariff to make it harder for my country (Australia) to export goods there. Hence Australia is encouraging Australians to stop buying US goods. The only US goods I buy are digital so this is my response.
I am not going to try and educate these guys on the benefits of free trade as clearly logic is not their forte.
As to posting on STEAM - no irony there. Do you really think Gabe will read an email if I send it direct?
