What are some of the best CPU-heavy games for testing one's PC, since we are back to console ports being CPU heavy?

any double a and triple a games made in last year and this year. Some are good at benchmarking. I suggest you find one you personal like and choose one. Avoid indie games as these are usually not as heavy on your cpu unless there doing something like cryptomining or something similiar.

Fair enough, but a game won't give you an accurate assessment, though. For benchmarking, it's best to use a benchmarking tool. 3DMark typically goes on sale for less than $10.
