Im pretty sure China has their own game awards, but TGA has been getting bigger each and every year and people won't bother checking out other gaming events since TGA is the most known one, bro we should inlcude different studios across the world as much as possible since most of the Westren Quadruple AAAAss Studios ( Conocrd,Dustborn,Dragon Age The Veilguard,Suicide kill the justice league, Unknown 9 : awakening and Star Wars : Outlaws most of these games are created by either American or European Gaming Studios ) got carried out by their own wealth and can't make great games as they used to, but this year we have seen many great foreign Studios Such Shift Up South Korean studio created Stellar Blade,Team Asobi Japenese Gaming Studio created Astro Bot and Game Science Chinese Gaming Studio created Black Myth Wukong and it's just the start we need competition so the Triple AAA mb Quadruple AAAA gaming studios get their ♥♥♥♥ together and create proper games.
Wtf are you talking about. Konami, Capcom, square enix..... Nintendo, Playstation...... Video games are Asian af since all time.
I was refering to most of the Westren Gaming studios as how they are deteriorating the past few years, yeah mb on the Japenese gaming studios but still a South Korean and Chinese gaming studios is rare to see in the gaming scene and it's great thing overall more competition.

Why do you keep ignoring the "facts" presented? You keep responding suggesting nothing was said. #1You can literally see what games people own when their profile is not set to private. NO ONE on this thread owns Wukong. Including you. #2 Caduryn posted live stats you just quoted. Showing 200 more people live streaming a 10 year old game (7daystodie) than Wukong. 7,000 more live streaming a 10 year old game in the last 24 hours than wukong. Yet you think thats the true GOTY brand new game? Obviously real people don't give a crap about it. Obviously its inflated with bots. They have "people" like you who don't even own it defending them LOL!
What facts?

You kept asserting you have facts and I asked you to point to them.

All you did was make a couple of logical fallacies about people not owning the game which is utterly irrelvant.

Again, OTHER PLATFORMS exist. I play on loads of consoles and computers. If you are foolishly looking at one steam account to assert whether someone has played a game or not, this shows how wrong you are.

But even so, none of that proves your assertions in any way.

You need to show CLEAR empirical evidence to directly back up your assertions. Are you still claiming bots voted for this or it's fishy? Then you need to show THAT. Not silly claims that people aren't playing it as much as an older game as that's nonsense and irrelevant.

So have at it.
Yea bud you go from, "I cant possibly know" to "Oh i play it on other platforms". Ok Mr. 1500 games on steam and a fully done steam profile lol. 1500 games.....just not Wukong. :DukeUrinal:

Black Wukong not winning every award basically means that it's awful.

No, that makes no sense whatsoever.

Go and look at the history of any media of choice - film, music, game or whatever.

You will find long lists of examples which either didn't win many awards or weren't even nominated and yet became absolute classics.

For example, the first album by Boston (from about 1976) didn't even chart here in Britain, but it is now seen as a classic rock album.

Or how about Dark Side of the Moon? Did it win album of the year in 1973? Nope. And yet it didn't leave the chart for DECADES. Yup, it stayed in the chart non-stop for years.

Or how about New Order's single "Blue Monday"? In 1983, it came out a few years after their demise as Joy Division following the death of Ian Curtis. They'd bubbled around the lower reaches of the top 75 but had nothing much. Blue Monday ended up going to number 9.

Not bad. But not stellar.

And yet it has gone on to become the world's biggest selling 12" single ever.

In short, you can't judge your assertion from what you are saying.

Damm bro why the hate it won an award so what even it didn't win any award which gaming studios shouldn't care about in the first place and im pretty sure they don't, they sold over 20 million copies that's an award itself.
Its not my thread so obviously other people agree. Why hate on me responding to someone hating on me. Dude came in and told me, "not to care" and dismissed the facts of the matter. Iv'e voted for steam awards for at least 9 years. Its very annoying to see bots win when real votes are being cast against them. Its like you are coming here and saying, " Hey bro just because a person was elected president that only 10% of real people voted for doesn't mean you should be upset." Lol Why tHe HaTe bRoooooo
Im not hating on you but im just confused why you're so pissed of one game or is it because is Chinese ? im confused bro but hey if you don't like soulslike or boss rush games that's not your thing i can get it everybody got it's own taste but still it's kinda funny how you despise this game.

Space Marine 2 got completely locked out? What? Did Wukong need to win 13 awards and SM 2 not even earn one? Seriously?
A flaw in a user voting process. Where users of the most popular game are going try and make that one game win every category it's nominated in, even if it's not a strong contender in all those categories.

Most "internet popularity contest"-style things end up being a joke in some way. Because, yeah - the most overactive fanbase (whether positive or negative) will tend to take control if at all possible.
(similar stuff shows up in things like Dancing With The Stars, with the call-in votes. When some person with a rabid fanbase is on the show, the voting gets silly.)

wu kong is such a great game its not even on my game interest list. seriously feel like its just steam trying to market advertise for another low grade action game.

The Steam Awards are determined by community voting. Steam has a significant bot problem that it seemingly ignores because it inflates their active user counts. These bots are used to vote up mobile games or bomb the competition, primarily coming from China. Consequently, the voting systems on Steam are essentially ineffective and does not truly represent the community. While it's a fun event, it doesn't work as intended due to cheating.

Despite of any awards everywhere, I trust Steam rating on games more than everything simply because you have to actually bought the game first. So when it's written Overwhelmingly Positive, it's overwhelmingly postive..by the people who actually PLAYED. And when one of these overwhelmingly positive games turns out winning Steam Game Awards, surprise surprise no surprise.

It's because Chinese players would vote for anything Chinese, even if it was a hot pile of garbage (unlike Wukong). Americans and Europeans mostly don't care if a game is from their country, it's standard fare. Asians have a little more trouble to be objective on that matter, even Japanese. Immaturity related to an over reliance on nationalistic ego is a well known flaw of Chinese people as a whole, it's still common thinking that China is the most refined and superior country to the outside barbarians.

It would be hard for Valve to forfeit Chinese players, as it's hard to get a handle on the turbulent and self-absorbed kid in a room full of adults without having to spank his ass and humiliate him. No good way to deal with this diplomatically, the only choice was doing nothing, and consequently make the Steam Awards irrelevant.

Steam lets people vote for games they don't own, so games with a better reputation win, even if it's not earned. A lot of dumb winners this year.
Jazz 2024 年 12 月 31 日 下午 10:53
It was pretty obvious it was gonna win tbh
