Why should people be banned for claiming a game is crap?

All over Steam forums I see people being banned and their comments removed for simply having an opinion or asking the 'wrong' questions.

Devs have the power to ban somebody for being critical of their game, which can trigger a wider Steam-wide community ban lasting a week, month, etc.

In fact, all over the internet as a whole I see this, and it is becoming a problem.

What use is the block button if nobody gets a chance to use it?
Why is everyone classed as 'trolling' if they do not go along with the 'official narrative'?
Is it wrong to have a personal opinion?

Just because somebody has a different opinion to you does not mean they are trolling, and does not mean they should be banned.

Just because your game is crap for example and people are asking about the crappy aspects of said game, does not mean they deserve a ban - it means you are a fraudster.

The censorship of the normal able-brained Steam user, and internet user as a whole, is out of control, and is absurd.

I would like to see a day where smooth brained fools with an agenda are not behind censorship of true humanity.

The thing is, if a game is trash, why do you waste time to insult the game on its forum instead of, I dunno, playing games? Do you also do that in real stores?

Like, do you go to gamestop and take a random game and say to the shop keeper, "I am sorry but this game is TRASH." You buy games you will enjoy, instead.

You, or anybody else isn't qualified to call someone else's work "crap". Do some creative work yourself and see how hard it is. There's usually a reason why some typically get acted upon repeatedly even by multiple hubs. Some just outright display why the welcome may be worn out very, very quickly to the point of removal, and may have a reputation of being too hostile to others thinking that it's ok to do, when the main hubs and game hubs tend to disagree.

We all do realize that Steam doesn't drop a banhammer right away, but more than often warns you about things prior to that?

Last week a comment of mine got removed and I received an official warning about it. While I don't fully agree with it I can most definitely understand their point of view in this. And well, like I often said myself: their forum, their rules. Simple as that.

Which leads to my conclusion... if you found yourself banned, then I can't help be convinced that it must have been quite a serious problem. More than just calling out a game.

And they ended up friending the people they thought were investigating but were just also their colleagues doing the same thing and acting weird and discussing a bizarre topic

Edit: although if that's the case then idk wtf is going on when it comes to random individuals from nowhere and I swear I wasn't even in the thread with them

As many have said, it's not 'having an opinion' that's banned, it's how you express that opinion.

"I think this game is bad because <reason 1>, <reason 2>, <reason 3>." is fine.

"This game is crap garbage scum, you greedy/sucky/fraudster/drugaddict/etc dev losers, and you should all DIAF" isn't.
