Steam replay 2024 is incomplete?

I'm trying to find out the reason why many games are missing from my steam replay 2024. My first thought was because some were marked as private, but other games marked as private do show up and I also found googling that steam tracks them anyway.

Literally all of my racing games are missing: Forza horizon 4/5, Assetto corsa, BeamNG, DIrt Rally, The Crew 2, Motorfest. And I'm probably forgetting some.

Some other games missing that aren't about cars include: rocksmith 2014 remastered, logic world, rimworld, dead island 1 and riptide, ghost recon wildlands, Rainbow 6, rainbow 6 vegas 2, half life 2, CS: source and probably a few more

Any lead to what might be the cause is appreciated

Today, one day after I started this thread 3 games that previously didn't appear in my steam replay now do show up, those games being: Rocksmith 2014 Remastered (delisted), Dirt rally and GTA SA (delisted)

So far I people have reported that:

- delisted games do show up
- games played on different devices do show up
- non private games may still be missing (both, listed and delisted)

Yea I think it's goofed. Unfortunate since it's a neat little snapshot of the year thing but some of the stats don't make sense, and what's displayed on the showcase doesn't make sense either since some games that were played fairly extensively in recent months aren't there, yet games that were played for a week or 2 and never again are there. Oh well

I am having the same problem... I played Spec Ops: The Line the most this year and mainly in February and it doesn’t even show I played in February at all or counts it towards anything like achievements received (I got at least 40 from it alone this year but the Replay says I only got 30 achievements). I know it was delisted earlier this year, but one of my friends plays Rocket League which was also delisted and it aways shows in his Replay.

Well that rules out being delisted as the probable cause I suppose

Yeah, it's a damn shame, I really enjoy some objective statistics about what I played this year. I was expecting some heavy preference for racing games, but I guess I didn't play a single one this year

Same happened to me. Hearts of Iron IV is missing from my recap as well despite being my 1st or 2nd most played game this year, i think it's because i set the game to private for a short period of time

I double checked, all games that show up in my recap are not set to private whereas those who don't show up are set to private except for a few, one of which is delisted, but not the other missing games

That certainly seems to be the pattern with 2 or 3 exceptions (in my case)

Same problems you listed for me. There's also two other problems I found which were unable to view 2023 replay and the spider graph I have for this year seems incorrect. The ones that I am sus about are Roguelike Deckbuilder, Dwarf, Mythology and Typing. The other two 2D fighter and Shmup lines up to what I was playing but I have no idea where even mythology and typing came from.

The only game that is closest to roguelike deckbuilder is Balatro, which I did not play extensively. I can understand Deep Rock Galactic being in my dwarf game but I know for certain that I put atleast 200+ hours into Monster Hunter World, another 100-150 hours on soulslikes and that didn't made it in my top 6.

As for mythology, I have no idea other than SMTV Vengeance and Persona 3 Reload but it would make more sense if it was listed as JRPGs as I played mostly that throughout the year.

WTF HALF LIFE 2 doesn't show up? That's insane!

The only one "missing" for me is a game that was originally sold in my region and then shortly restricted. It's listed in top-played stats but not listed in Explore the games you played this year section. It doesn't even give a the grey placeholder box for it, which is how it's shown in the parts where it is counted...

And Half-Life 2 does show up for me in Explore the games you played this year, as does The Crew 2.

Dark Souls PTDE doesn't show up it's a glaring omission in my replay since its my most played game this year. Why?

So...

i have steam replay 2022, replay 2023 and now replay 2024

i want to show all 3 of them on my profile

but somehow i can only purchase 1x additional showcase

so i can only show 2x steam replays at a time, not all 3x

Honestly, I’m not too keen on how games appear and disappear from Replays. In Replay 2024, two games popped up today that weren’t there yesterday.
Instead, in Replay 2023, some games that had been removed from sale in the past but were shown last year have now disappeared.

Replays are unfortunately inconsistent in this regard. I hope they fix ALL Steam Replays once and for all in the future, but I have my doubts.

I mean, it's like messing with people's memories xD. And anyway, even removed old games should be treated the same as modern games.

It doesn't count GTA VC. It is probably my second-most-played game on Steam this year.
Of course, the Steam app says the last play was 31 July
