No longer able to filter by language...
I'm no longer able to filter by language when browsing guides, etc.
I can't read cyrillic, asian or other non-latin letters, and until recently I could just filter those away. But now the feature is gone.
Anyone else seeing this?

I'm getting this too. Found the old system of having to chose English each time annoying enough, but this is just ridiculous.
It now uses a forced language filter when selecting "View All" or any of the other "Browse By" links, so it prevents browsing for guides in a language other than default.
Which is a pointless restriction now that full-page translators are so easy to use.

To see guides in all languages, the url can be edited by removing "&requiredtags[]=english" from the address. If using the Steam Client browser, that can be done if the page is opened "in new tab".

Edit: Selecting/deselecting any of the other filter categories also removes the language filter.

The language filter options need to be brought back.

Thanks it helped!
P.S. This is a strange and pointless change, I hope Valve will fix it.

I was so confused about not seeing any guides since yesterday. That is so stupid.
Valve, please revert this!
Thanks for the solution though.
If you want to get it fixed, please report it to steam support. They may not be aware of it, or maybe they are. Anyways, posting this in a support ticket that explains it may help them fix it. Just be polite when you make a ticket to them as they may not fix it right away. Probably in a upcoming update.

i posted last year about this UI bug i had. In 2 patches, it was fixed, so no more UI bug.

It doesn't filter languages at all sadly, I only want to see guides in English, all my settings are set to English and I still see guides in languages that aren't english and adding &requiredtags[]=english at the end of the url does nothing.

I did, and this is what I've got:

Thank you for taking the time to report this issue. Unfortunately, we do not have a fix for you at this time.
Along with reports submitted directly to Support, the Steam team uses a number of community sources to help investigate the frequency and severity of issues like this. These issues are continually being addressed through Steam Updates. Support does not provide any information on upcoming or planned fixes.
Again, I am sorry that we do not have a fix for you at this time.

Obviously, I'm perfectly aware that the Support is not the one who fixes issues like the one I razed, but I also know that bugs that are not reported are not fixed, and the more reports you receive, the more likely it is that the issue will be fixed faster.
Can you at least let me know if you have any other reports about missing language filters and if this issue is being addressed?

Due to privacy policy we cannot disclose if we have reports from other users regarding such issues.
What we can say is that a good indication of this is, if similar threads appear in the Steam community forums.

They can't even say "Yes, we're aware of the issue and our team is working on it", or "You're only one to report this, so you should probably try to fix this on your end", or "It's not a bug, we just decided you don't need language filter anymore" or anything of the sort with an actual info... The "privacy policy" excuse is the most ridiculous thing I saw...

Utterly useless...

For me, I replaced =german with =english and actually saw all the guides which have english listed under language.

Start filtering by category and the default language filter will also appear, then you can experiment with editing the address line.
That option has been removed

That option has been removed. Now it's just the categories, also for me when I click on the address bar in Steam it just copies the page, I am unable to edit it.

It appears so far in the address line, not as a selection box.

Another advice from this thread you’ve missed:

Seems a bit ridiculous to have to manually type into the address bar in a new tab to filter guides by language. Especially on games that have guides in 20 odd languages. Should be easier to leave in the feature as before to select language, or even easier just show guides in your steam default language unless you choose to show more.

Yeah I don't think they thought this through. This is not meant to be done like this imo.
Just changed my steam client language to english so I don't have to do any of this whenever I wanna look for english guides :angry_creep:
My Client is English and it still shows every language under the sun when browsing guides.
