Hmm, no updates in four years and a less then user stellar review score.
Sounds like a dead game to me, sadly.
Guess I'm up ♥♥♥♥ creek then.
Unless Cities Skylines has any user made content that can backdate the game to at least the 1870's or 80's

I've been tempted to give this series a try in the past, but I tend to avoid anything made by Ubisoft these days on principle.
Gave it a try. but the game honestly felt restrictive in just how creative you can be.
You can't even rotate buildings to get them facing the right way, and there didn't seem to be any purely cosmetic item to add some extra pop to your rather stiff town.
But, game play wise, it's a better fit to what I'm looking for.
Less a survival game like Wild West Dynasty, and more of an "all seeing, all knowing" eye in the sky city manger type game.
Edit: civ 4 had a standalone colony spinoff, too.

No offense, but the just looking at the Westward games, their giving off some strong app game vibes, So I'll have to pass.
So, until something better comes along, I guess Civilization IV: Colonization will have to do.
Though here's the question, does Colonization us randomly generated maps, or is there a half way accurate map of eastern North America to play on?
Cause if If all I can do is plop down pre-made town/village/fort "tokens" I might as well be able to do it on a map that models the Eastern frontier.
Sorry I don't remember, it's been a very long time and I don't really want to try and find my old disk copy of civ 4 and it's expansions.

I didn't know the Westward games were old enough to predate the Iphone. I guess with all the app trash that's been bumped on Steam these last few years, it's left me kind of cynical to any game with a simple, bright and flashy art style. ^^;
As for Civ IV: Colonization, Looks like i'm gonna need to slip the ol' work gloves on and do a bit of digging.
Many thanks for the help though!
